We are looking for a permanent part-time pharmacist to join our team! The successful candidate can expect to work 1-2 times/week and potential for more hours as availability opens.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Starting wage of $50/hour + profit sharing; potential for raises
  • Large emphasis on OAT (experience with OAT is an asset but not necessary, we are more than happy to train our staff here!)
  • Work closely with mental health teams and OAT clinics
  • Ample opportunity for new initiatives (we welcome your ideas!) and clinical services
  • Data entry using Kroll pharmacy software (experience with Kroll is an asset but not necessary)
  • No DWI deliveries, entire shift will take place in the dispensary
  • 1 pharmacist on per shift; however, multiple experienced pharmacy assistants scheduled per shift
  • Shifts are 6AM-5PM (11 hour shift at regular rate) on weekdays and 6AM-2PM (8 hour shift) on weekends **must be available to work a weekend occasionally; however, we will not schedule you for stats!
  • Note: no on-site parking available, park free in the vicinity at your own risk or pay for parking at your own expense

REQUIREMENTS

  • Registered pharmacist in good standing with College of Pharmacists of BC
  • Injection certified
  • Completed Opioid Agonist Treatment Compliance and Management Program (OAT-CAMPP) or will complete (as soon as possible) upon taking up position
  • Clean criminal record (check required by CPBC every 4 years)
  • Possess valid certification in first aid and CPR from a recognized provider
  • Fluency in English; strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Be a team player!
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (11 hour shifts)
  • Ensure Five Rights of Medication Safety – Right Patient, Right Drug, Right Time, Right Dose, Right Form
  • Treat everyone equally despite socioeconomic status
  • Practice humility and empathy for marginalized populations
  • Customer service and patient care are key!
